Edit
Here is our edited story.
Things we learnt about were
We aren’t allowed to use then, and, also and because at the beginning of a sentence.
Speech marks go on the OUTSIDE of the full stop or other punctuation.
The end of a sentence can be marked by a full stop, an exclamation mark or a question mark. You don’t need to put an extra full stop after a question mark.
Remember to check ALL capital letters. Sometimes we need to put them in and sometimes we need to take them out.
On Monday 24th September 2018 Room 7 did a blindfold challenge. We wanted to have fun and make our morning a bit interesting by playing a game.
Firstly Miss Ashley told us the rules which was “no touching the tables or pieces of paper on the floor or you will lose points.“ However you are allowed to touch the chairs because you sometimes have to step over them to get to the end. Next we got into buddies. My buddy was Lucina. We had to line up by the heater in our buddies.
First it was my turn to go so Lucina (my buddy) put the blindfold on me (over my eyes) and helped me to stand up. The blindfold was tight it felt like a constrictor boa on my face. I felt so confused and disorientated because the blindfold was covering my eyes. Lucina told me to “go left, right, straight and step over.” I was feeling nervous and a little bit scared because “what if she was tricking me?“ and I was really doing something silly. I got to the end safely and took my blindfold off.
Next it was my buddies turn so I helped her put the blindfold on. I told her to walk straight first, then next turn left. She doesn’t know her lefts and rights so she went the wrong way.I said “no your other left” and it was a little bit funny. In the end we got to the blue fruit tray and we made it without losing any points!
I think I would like to do this activity again because it was cool to do something different and fun in class especially since it’s the end of the term and I think we are all feeling kind of tired.

Obby
Paragraph 1
It was Friday September the 21rst, When I walked inside class I took one Big Glance at the white board and I saw writing on it, But you might think it’s boring But it’s not. But room 7 and I do an Spelended activity. “Ok Right After the roll I have something special For yall” Mrs Ashley said with pride. “YAYYYYY!!!!!” SO we got into buddies and mine were Railey and Leon, Mrs Ashley Gave instructions and what made it more challenging was that she moved the furniture. By the way you could not move the furniture or you would lose minus 1 point towards your team.
Paragraph 2
All of room 7 got into buddies but because Havea didn't have anyone so me and Railey put him in our group because he is our friends so we wanted to be nice to him that’s why we put him our group, I was the first one in our group who went first I felt paralyzed and also blind while I had the blindfold on when Railey and Havea had their turn they felt the same as well.
Me and Havea had a hard time telling Railey where to go because he was kinda not listening to me and him because he went his own way but he did really good because I liked how thinked about what we said so he was a very good listener and followed instructions.
Conclusion
I felt so Energetic and it was super fun I could not feel my legs afterwards.
Earthquakes And Tsunami
THIS IS FOR THE EARTHQUAKES ONE
Earthquakes
How do Earthquakes happen:
Earthquakes mostly happen when two tectonic plates collide together. When they collide it makes the ground shake and it can make the crust go up and creates new mountains. The most dangerous place to be when earthquakes happen is on or near the epicenter. The closer you are to the epicenter, the more damage the earthquake causes, compared to other people that are further from the epicenter. If you are far from the epicenter you will have a higher chance of being safe from shockwaves.
Hard words:
Collide: (collide is when tectonic plates fight for the top like the game get on top) shockwave (shockwave are what makes the ground shakes)
What is going to be After:
After an earthquake is a big impact It is so unpredictable because it can destroy buildings or kill people or animals. Anything near the epicentre of the earthquake will have a bigger impact than something far away. After an earthquake, there are aftershocks which are small earthquakes that lessen over time. After an earthquake could be extremely dangerous, because it can leave heaps of cracks in the ground that could break your ankle by falling down the crack.
hard Words:
epicentre (the epicentre middle of the earthquake) extremely dangerous (extremely dangerous is when it is very dangerous)
Tsunami:
Tsunamis can be caused the same way as earthquakes with 2 tectonic plates fighting. That is why when you have a big earthquake you should be expecting a big tsunami I got that form a school journal.
