Giant Pandas first become endangered in 1990. Giant pandas are endangered because one of the main reasons that panda populations have declined is habitat destruction. They are endangered because there are only 3,500 left in the whole world, and their population dropped due to trading and hunting that humans do. Humans kill a large number every year to get there teeth and jaws for trading, their meat for eating and fin for remedies
