Conspiracy theory on Tupac -

 Conspiracy theory -

People had thought Tupac faked his own death and is living in cuba as we speak , people on instagram have found a identacle photo of him as many claim it is him, but in my personal opinion I don’t think he’s alive and the people that think he’s alive should just let the legend live and rest cause he's in a better place . Rumors say that Tupac Amaru Shakur was very wary of the West coast / East Coast beef and didn’t want any part of it anymore , After his rival ( The Notorious. B.I.G ) was assassinated. Tupac supposedly faked his death from a drive-by shooting from the South Side Compton crips. Some believed that Suge Knight (C E O of Death Row Records ) Tupac’s boss had put the South Side Compton Crips on his payroll for the assassination of Tupac , or the same thing as the big conspiracy on Biggie smalls . People thought The Notorious B.I.G had paid 1 mil for the death of Tupac , but as many believed Christopher Wallace was a man of god and oftenly prayed every day and night .

nah tokss it's bodmas ;)

for today's math we did bodmas.

B - Brackets

O - Order

D - Division

M - Multipication

A - Addition

S - Subtraction

_____________________________________________________________________________________

Today I solved BODMAS equations , At first it was difficult but as soon a I got use to it . it acctually got pretty easy , i didn't particapate in any of the disscustions our teacher asked but I still took notes and got most of them correct . for example ->

(5x3) - (12 divided by 4) + 8 = 20

3 + (6 divided by 3 x 2)  = 7

Cloning v De-extinction.

 ]What Is Cloning?

Cloning is when you take a human or animal’s DNA to make a replica/twin/copy. There are five steps in the cloning process.

  1. Firstly you have to get DNA from an animal - this could be from a blood sample, saliva, or urine

  2. then the next step is to study the DNA (finding the genome sequence),

  3. Next is to fill in the gaps using DNA from a similar animal (E.g. for a moa, you would use emu or ostrich DNA),

  4. 4th is to create an embryo and find a  Surrogate Mother for the clone.

  5. The last step is to wait for the clone to be born.

Examples of cloning

If you didn't know, you can make a clone/twin without using anything, it‘s called Natural Cloning, Natural Cloning is when you get your parents cell and it gets split in half and makes a lot of copies that make you look like your identical twin, Fun fact - as many times as the cell splits that's how many twins that will be created, but getting a identical twin is very rare to get.

The very first cloned mammal was Dolly the sheep who was cloned in 1996 July 5 and died in 2003 it only lived for 6 years and was cloned in Scotland. Cloning is kind of the same thing as de-extinction but cloning is when you take DNA from a living organism and de-extinction is when you get DNA from extinct animal fossils.

What Is De-Extincion

In the school journal, page 12,  Return Of The Moa? by Quinn Berentson, it was talking about extinct animals that can be de-extinct, for example, Moa, Wooly Mammoth, Huia, Tasmanian Tiger and many others, but what are the reasons why? The reason why is because it could fix the mistake that they have made in the past, bring happiness to the world, also when you bring them back you get to have a closer look at the moa. But there are some animals that can’t be de-extinct because the fossils are too old. For example, Dinosaurs. their bones don't have enough DNA. Now i am going to talk about what are the bad things about de-extinction? de-extinction is a total waste of money and we should spend the money on endangered species that actually need it for their habitats, and once scientists de-extinct an animal they wouldn't know the reaction the animal/creature will have.

What is the purpose of cloning?

The purpose of cloning is to clone animals for experiments to prevent disease from spreading or viruses such as Covid-19 and many other viruses that may come in the future.

Who created cloning?

The very first study of cloning took place in 1885 by a German scientist-Hans Adolf Eduard Driesch, he began reaching and then in 1902 he was able to create 2 twin salamanders by dividing the embryo into half.

Is cloning ethical?

Before I get on with the question. What is ethical? Ethical is when you answer a question and there aren't any right or wrong. This means we should think about if we really should do cloning or not - doesn’t that mean we are playing God? Should we have that power? Should we just let nature take its course? This is the ethical dilemma.

Athelitics 2020

In 13th of November 2020 we had a very fun event, we call this Athletics day. it is the day where 4 teams compete for the best winning house, the teams were, Tobruk, Tripoli, Benghazi, Alamein. The point of the game is to get the most points for your team by playing field events such as shot put, discus, high jump, long jump and  standing jump. Aach team has a gazebo to stay on so people don't get sun burned.

For the first game I did, was Shot Put the rules of this game is to places the shot by your shoulders and your not allowed to throw only push, whoever gets the farthest push wins the game and gets to represent their school. The next game I played was Standing Jump, the rules of standing jump is to jump where you were standing and no double movements. For the third game I played was discus, a tip for discus is to throw it at the right time and ahold it from the front. the  fourth game I played was long jump, long jump is a simple game all you need to do is run and try jump your farthest but you have to jump before the line but if you don't you get disqualified. The last game I played was high jump, for high jump you just have to jump over the pole then land on the soft mat, but the only technique you could do was scissors. after all of that then we had morning tea.

After morning tea we moved on too...RACING, first it was juniors first it goes to 5 year old boys/girls then to 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, there are a 50 meter race then 75 meter race then 100 meter race and a 400 meter race but that is only for the older people. But then in the end Alamein won then Benghazi then Tobruk then Tripoli

Camp example text .

School camps are good because children get new experiences and it helps us build confidence and independence. Camp is a natural thing to do when you're in year 7 , 8 and all the above.

Camp is generally fun because you get to do outside activities, make new friends , not focus on social media and get to know new people. For some people Roasting marshmallows, leaving their parents, bunking with friends, eating new food and getting out of Auckland might be new to them. Outdoor activities such as  Kayaking , paddleboarding, orienteering, rock climbing or even going on a night time stroll might be fun for first timers.  For example at my camp it was my first time doing Kayaking , sitting on a hammock and orienteering. Kayaking was pretty fun because it was hard to paddle my way to the other side, I was with Metui so it was a bit complicated to communicate with him. Orienteering was fun as well so I hope I get to revisit it at year 9 camp.

Electronics, Energy drinks etc were not allowed at camp because we are all game addicts , for example drug addicts so that we didn’t focus on our devices instead of doing the activities the teachers set up.

School Camp helps build confidence and independence, like for example learning new skills / experiences, learning peoples cultures, encouraging others to do the right things and also help with activities. Building confidence can start to build by doing  Kayaking, Paddle Boarding, orienteering, rock climbing and night walking. A camp night walk takes about 20 - 30 minutes of time to walk there and back. I heard paddle boarding was fun but luckily I slept in haha. My experience was pretty alright with team building because the night and morning walks energized me up for the morning.

The Palestine Israel war is a conflict over land

The Palestine Israel war is a conflict over land. Thousands of years ago, Jewish people lived in Israel. They built holy temples like Solomon’s temple and other holy places like Dome of the Rock and the Western Wall. Over time, different people conquered the land (Israel) and took over. First they were conquered by Alexander the Great, then by The Roman Empire, then by Arab and Asian conquests, then they were persecuted by the Christian church in the Crusades. Jewish people had to keep moving to new lands. They moved towards Europe over time. Meanwhile, the land where Israel once was is now called Palestine.

In 1917, the Jewish people were promised land/independence if they helped the Allies win WW1. The allies won this war, so the Jewish people were given back Israel. However, the Palestininan people now lived there.

The two people - Israelis and Palestinians, now fight over the land. Nobody can agree who has the right to be there.

Genomics Reading - Notes/Vocab

Monday 27th July 2020

GENOMICS is the study of genes that make up the body.

Organism - a living thing (humans, bugs, birds, animals etc).

XX - female

XY - male

Humans have 22 sets of chromosomes which are made up of A, C, G and T bases. These are in different combinations which change your physical appearance/characteristics.

Identical twins will have the same DNA. Non-identical twins will not.
